Kentucky man commits suicide at Nashville airport

KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — A Kentucky man jumped from an airport parking garage to his death Sunday morning in Nashville.

According to Nashville police, around 5:45 a.m., the Kentucky man jumped from the sixth floor of the Nashville International Airport parking garage. Airport police said they were talking with the man about the depression he was experiencing.

In a statement, the airport said the man’s suicide was “an unfortunate accident” but confirmed the incident is not impacting travel.

The man’s identity has yet to be released.
